Artistic Anatomy Class

Today starts my journey into Artistic Anatomy. Artistic Anatomy will be my second class at ZBrushWorkshops and after the Foundations Class, completed in November, my expectations are high. I will post some WIP images from the class here in the blog and also add some of the final images to my portfolio when complete.

The Foundry’s – Mari

I downloaded a trial version of Mari the other week and have been playing around with it. I must say, WOW. I had to spend a few hours with the training videos on YouTube to really understand the extent of all its features but it was well worth it. My goal for next year is to add texture painting to my list of skill sets and thought this might be a great way to get started. So, as an early X-Mas gift to myself I decided to pick up a full copy of the program. I will post some WIP images later of my experiments with Mari. But as of right now I am totally blown away by the potential this program has.

Just signed up to earn my ZBrush certification through ZBrushWorkshop with Ryan Kingsline. I pretty excited to be taking the the two certification classes offered on the new(relatively) online training site ZBrushWorkshop. I am a big fan of ZBrush and to learn it from Mr. Kingsline, who is one of the guys responsible for developing it, is an added bonus. Plus, the chance to observe and learn more about the digital sculpting process from him is pretty awesome. I’ll post more once class starts in two weeks.

2010 Modeling Demo Reel

Well its that time again I have completed my time, for now anyway, at Gnomon School of Visual Effects and will be joining the ranks searching for a full time position as a modeler. So my reel has been updated and posted above and on my home page. Please take a look, I hope you enjoy it. If you are in need of a skilled modeler please contact me. I am open to new freelance projects until otherwise notified.

Harmondale Awakening Project

I am excited to post that I started working on the pilot episode of the awesome UK based sci-fi TV show I mentioned in my last post. It’s called, Harmondale Awakening. As mentioned, the show is in its conceptual phase and will be pitched to networks after a few episodes are complete. So far, I will be contributing the models for the stories main antagonist character, some of his crew and his ship. I will post more when I can.
