I downloaded a trial version of Mari the other week and have been playing around with it. I must say, WOW. I had to spend a few hours with the training videos on YouTube to really understand the extent of all its features but it was well worth it. My goal for next year is to add texture painting to my list of skill sets and thought this might be a great way to get started. So, as an early X-Mas gift to myself I decided to pick up a full copy of the program. I will post some WIP images later of my experiments with Mari. But as of right now I am totally blown away by the potential this program has.

I pretty excited to be taking the the two certification classes offered on the new(relatively) online training site ZBrushWorkshop. I am a big fan of ZBrush and to learn it from Mr. Kingsline, who is one of the guys responsible for developing it, is an added bonus. Plus, the chance to observe and learn more about the digital sculpting process from him is pretty awesome. I’ll post more once class starts in two weeks.

It’s called, Harmondale Awakening. As mentioned, the show is in its conceptual phase and will be pitched to networks after a few episodes are complete. So far, I will be contributing the models for the stories main antagonist character, some of his crew and his ship. I will post more when I can.
